    "This is to certify that it appears from records of this office that on this day to wit: the sixteenth of September in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one and the one hundredth and 26 of the Independence of the United States of America (Sept 16, 1901) was registered a marriage celebrated in the City of New Orleans La. by Rev. Father E.J. Fuller on the 14 day of September 1901 between Edward. E. Lucas (42 years) a native of Louisiana, son of Theophile E. Lucas and Catherine Lacey and Miss Hermogina Gragon (23 years) a native of Bay St. Louis Miss, daughter of Dominique Gragon and Amelie Landrieu. The celebration was performed in the presence of the witnesses D.J, Gragon MD, Rufus J. Paddick, Earl Vidrive. The License was issued on 12 day of September 1901 by Hon. ---. ---- Mary --- in the presence of the witnesses Rufus J. Paddick, D.J. Gragon MD.
