- ↑ Source:Temple, Levi Daniel. Some Temple Pedigrees, a Genealogy of the Known Descendants of Abraham Temple, Who Settled in Salem, Mass. in 1636, p. 15, adds a son David, b. 13 Sep 1749. No such birth is found in Shrewsbury VRs. A David Gooddel is born in Marlborough 14 Sep 1749 to Nathan and Percis, and Source:Ward, Andrew Henshaw. History of the Town of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, p. 294, says it is son of Nathan who shows up in records married to a wife Dorothy having children in Shrewsbury during the period 1775-1782. (Note: none named Edward, Nathan, Sarah or Percis. Apparently, a David Goodale m. Lancaster 1772 Dorothy Newton, had a daughter Eunice b. Lancaster 1774 besides the ones recorded in Shrewsbury. Also there appears to be at least one more, Enoch, d. 1850, aged 66, b. 1784 in Boylston according to his death record.)
