CLARK, Edson and Lepha Fuller, both of Royalston, May 31, 1805.
↑ No death record for the wife is found but she must have died before 1839 when Edson remarried. Secondary sources say many things, some naming her as Lepha, Selpha, Sepha. The source that names her Selpha (Source:Banner-Herald. Family Puzzlers, Issue 1237) says she is a half-sister of Joseph Fuller, s/o Jacob Fuller and Deborah Tower. This may be, but no evidence has been found. Joseph Fuller had a full sister named Relief Fuller, b. Rehoboth 1771, who is a little old to marry Edson, but a possible match especially given her family moved to Athol, and given her early death, and since there is no evidence of her death nor birth of another Relief, of which Lepha (i.e., Leafy) is presumably a nickname.
