Edgar and Kathryn had four children, three sons and one daughter.

Kathryn's obituary reads, "MRS. KATHRYN SZINK. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Klaehn Funeral Home for Mrs. Kathryn Szink, 87, of 3205 S. Harrison St., the Rev. F. H. Holtmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Szink died at 2 a.m. yesterday at her residence. Surviving are three sons, Arthur of Mesa, Ariz., and Robert and Clarence, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Cutter, Fort Wayne; and nine grandchildren.
