10 Dec 1789: Samuel Payson housewright Eben'r Withington tertius Wheelwright Edward Preston jun'r & John Preston Cloither [sic] all of Dorchester for £3-12-0 convey to Samuel & Ebenezer Glover of Stoughton one half of the right to Cedar swamp and meadow bottom laid out to Edward Payson & Samuel Payson deceas'd in Dorchester new Grant (so called).
[Note: More research may be needed on the ownership of this land. Possibly the grantee was Edward Preston, misrecorded? Or possibly inherited from George and grantees were his father and brother, Samuel and Mary Payson, as 2 of 4 children, receiving half his right? But it appears Edward and John Preston and Ebenezer Withington in right of wife Mary were heirs of Mary (Payson) Preston.]
