According to Mr. Jacobus (p. 8:1903), Ebenezer Tuttle, son of Ephraim and Hannah (Pangborn), born 5 or 15 October, married, 15 January 1761, Eunice Moss, daughter of Benjamin and Abigail (Cole), born 12 August 1747 (p. 5:1232). I question this identification of Ebenezer's wife, since she would have been seven months short of her fourteenth birthday at the time of the marriage. In addition, Eunice, wife of Ebenezer, who died at New Haven and was buried in her son-in-law Daggett's plot in the City Burial Ground in 1808. The Hale Collection entry for her gravestone reads "Tuttle, Eunice, died May 14, 1808, age 66 yrs." which would have her born circa 1742.

Jacobus (p. 5:1224)names another Eunice Moss, daughter of Joseph and Lydia (Jones), born 5 March 1742/43 saying that she married one Eliakim Hall. However, according to Jacobus (p. 3:703), he, son of Eliakim and Ruth (Dickerman) Hall married Eunice, daughter of John & Sarah (Thompson) Moss, born 30 October 1750 and dying 18 July 1789 age 39 (p. 5:1225). This identification is consistent with the Hale entry for Eliakim's first wife (Center Street Cemetery, Wallingford), "Hall, Eunice, wife of Eliakim, died July 18, 1789, are 39 yrs."

Jacobus documents no other marriages (within the eight volumes of Families of Ancient New Haven) for a Eunice Tuttle.

The most reasonable conclusion is that Ebenezer Tuttle married Eunice Moss born 5 March 1742/43, daughter of Joseph and Lydia (Jones) Moss), Eliakim Hall married Eunice Moss born 30 October 1750, daughter of John and Sarah (Thompson) Moss, and there is no husband identifiable for Eunice daughter of Benjamin and Abigail (Cole) Moss.
