"Ebenezer (Lyman), 2d, son of Dea. Ebenezer and Experience (Pomeroy) Lyman, m 1st Elizabeth dau. of Noadiah Seward. She d. and he m 2d, Sarah _____. About 1734."

Ebenezer's first wife could not have been Elizabeth, daughter of Noadiah Seward. Only one Noadiah appears in the early records of Connecticut (in Durham), born 1697 and married Hannah Smith. Their daughter Elizabeth was born 22 November 1724, recorded in Guilford, and baptized on that date in Durham. She would have been only ten years of age when Ebenezer married his second wife Sarah. He must have had a first wife, but she appears to be totally unknown and childless.
