Donald McMurchy's age as given on the marriage registration conflicts with that given on his death registration. The original registration is not available to view online. The source for Ontario marriage registrations before 1869 are copies made at the county registrar's office from annual returns made by clergymen. There were, therefore, two or three times when errors in copying could occur. The birthplace of Whitby for Amelia was also unexpected. An elopement?
