  2. Find A Grave makes David Goddard (who married Clarissa Perry) into an unrecorded twin of Davis Goddard (who married Clarissa Ward). This is incorrect. The Royalston VRs only show a birth for Davis. The man who married Clarissa Perry is shown by his probate to be a son of Hannah Goddard of Orange, hence son of John and Hannah Goddard of Orange, not son of Henry and Ann Goddard of Royalston.
Source:Allred, Marilyn. Town of Warwick, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Genealogical Records 1739-1900, Births, Marriages,, p. 114, doesn't identify the parents of David, but says he married "Clarissa (or Czarina WHITE)". This is both incredibly confusing and shows incredible confusion by Allred. The mother of the children shown is clearly listed as Clarissa and the basis for Czarina is not seen in Warwick records. Access to records outside Warwick inform us Clarissa's maiden name was Perry (i.e., these are two different women and not simply two misinterpretations of her first name), and that it was a different David Goddard who married Czarina White, and Czarina was still alive long after the marriage to Caroline P. Moore, showing that two different David Goddards are involved.
