↑ The identification of the wife as Mary Tyler is circumstantial. She is called the wife of David Dexter in her father's will, but outside of knowing the name of her husband, Source:Brigham, Willard Irving Tyler. Tyler Genealogy has no further information such as residence, children or death dates. The marriage in 1749 in Attleboro is very appropriate for a first child b. 1750 in Cumberland, RI, and the removal to another state would explain the difficulty identifying David. And after using David for the first son after the husband, the second son was named Samuel, presumably after Mary's father.
