Vital Records, 1760-1954, which are cards made by the town clerk from town records by law in early 1900s here, has copied this wrong, i.e., as 9 Sep 1807 instead of 1801. We know this is wrong because children born before 1807. Further it would be understandable if the date was written as a number, but in the original it is written as a word and even with the bad handwriting is clearly is not seven, but is one, so one must presume they made the card from a copy that had been converted to a number.]
