Deed Book A, p 192: 26 Nov 1816, Leven Quilling of Louisiana to Umphra Stewart, for $300 " to be paid," sold all right, claim, interest to "my part" of improvement on Amite River, SHP of West Florida, sd improvement begun and claimed by Daniel Quilling, dec'd, father of sd Leven, improved in 1805, fronting Amite River---wit William Watson.
