    There is some discrepancy here - the Encyclopedia of Quaker Genealogy lists a marriage in Bedford Co., VA for Ann and Daniel. However, Revolutionary War pension applications state that they were married by "William Johnson a Baptist preacher". Franklin Co. was formed in 1785 from Bedford, Henry, and Patick Cos. Tax lists for 1788 in Franklin Co., VA show both Daniel French Sr. and Jr. (http://freepages.misc.rootsweb.com/~vataxlists/Franklin/1788PersonalA/06.jpg)
