  2.   Note: Cutter's article on the Wright Family of Woburn, NEHGR, vol. 37, p. 79, gives the above marriage record to Hannah Wright, widow of Timothy Wright. Cutter's interpretation would imply that it does not apply to Daniel Estabrook however, since that Hannah (Brooks) Wright was much older. However, the birth of children to Daniel and Hannah in Rutland starting in 1737 suggests it does.

Cutter also says that Hannah Wright, the d/o James Wright, whose birth would match the age at death of Daniel Estabrook's wife, married Timothy Emerson of Haverhill. However, as she "signed in administration of father's estate, 1736", presumably meaning as an adult single woman, it is not clear how he decided that was the correct pairing, since it would seem the probate could offer no clue [note: Middlesex Probate 25686, she counter-signed the distribution dated 6 Apr 1736 (i.e., before the above marriage) as Hannah Wright]? A marriage record does show that Timothy Emerson married a Hannah Wright in 1739 and they apparently moved to New Hampshire and had several children according to Pope (none named James or Elizabeth, though).

Given that Cutter is almost certainly wrong about the 1736 marriage, our confidence in the Emerson marriage cannot be great. There certainly seems to be two Hannah Wrights of similar age, even though only one birth is found in Woburn.
