18 Oct 1902. Charlie Whiteley, 22, bachelor, fireman, of Jubilee Terrace, Delph, son of William Whiteley, engineer
married Clara Jane Buckley, 22, spinster, of Lawton Terrace, Kent Mill Lane, Delph, daughter of John Buckley, joiner

Friarmere was within the borders of the West Riding of Yorkshire, but the church was linked to the Manchester diocese; hence the source title for the data. In 1974 the whole of the Saddleworth Registration District was transferred from the West Riding into the new administrative county of Greater Manchester.

  2. Charles and Clara Jane had two daughters listed in the 1911 census. They have not been traced further.
