Weddings Ryan. — Berkman BOWLS of arum lilies and roses decorated St. Andrew's Church, South Brisbane, on September 17. when the Rev. L. J. Hobbs officiated at the wedding of Mr. Cecil Leonard Ryan (only son of Mrs. W. Turner, Dutton Park) and Miss Phyllis Mary Berk- man (eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Berkman, South Brisbane. The bride, who was given away by her father, chose a simple frock of magnolia satin, the skirt extending to a. train. Tiny buttons trimmed the back of the bodice and sleeves, and a halo of freezias fastened her tulle veil. She carried a matching shower bou- quet. .Misses Muriel and Joyce Berkman, as bridesmaids, were frocked alike in powder blue cereal crepe, featuring shirred bodices and roll collars. They wore matching tulle veils, and carried bouquets of delphiniums, carnations, and roses. At the reception, held at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. Berkman received the guests wearing a frock of black georgette and lace, and carrying a bouquet of red roses. A sheaf of pink carnations made a contrast to the navy 'frock chosen by the bridegroom's mother. Leaving for the honeymoon, which is being spent on a motor tour to Sydney, the bride wore a frock of blue novelty crepe and matching accessories.
