    The Clinton Herald Tuesday October 16, 1990 p. 12 Margaret Carney Pinney, 86, formerly of 1400 Caroline Ave., died Saturday at her apartment in Friendship Manor, Rock Island, Ill. A memorial service will 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. John I. Kilby officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at the church. Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements. Mrs. Pinney's husband was the late Byron R. Pinney who was chairman of the Pinney Printing Company at the time of his death in 1983. Mrs. Pinney and her husband moved from Clinton to Naples, Fla. in 1976 after having wintered there since 1960. Mrs. Pinney was born Nov. 13, 1903, in Prophetstown, Ill. She lived with her parents on a farm near Erie, Ill. She attended the University of Illinois and became a school teacher. She married Byron R. Pinney May 25, 1927. He died in July of 1983. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and was involved for many years in numerous Clinton community organizations. She especially enjoyed her service as president of Clinton Visiting Nurses Association. She enjoyed her association with the Clinton Public Library and was a member of P.E.O. Chapter H.V. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Arp of Moline and Margo Norris of Detroit, Mich.; a son, John Pinney of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Death date: Oct. 13, 1990.
