  2. Source:Locke, John Goodwin. Book of the Lockes : A Genealogical and Historical Record of the Descendants of William Locke, of Woburn ; with an Appendix, p. 82, shows this as the 2nd marriage of Benjamin's son Benjamin! Clearly a son b. 1775 would not be old enough in 1791 to have married the first time, much less the second. The father's first wife d. in 1790 and clearly it was the father who married Hannah Pierce. The same fiction is propagated by the Find A Grave memorial for Hannah.
