    The date estimated for this marriage assumes that Abiah Dudley was the mother of the third son of Benjamin Towner, Timothy Towner. It is quite possible that he was born before Benjamin Towner's first wife, Jerusha Shaler, died, which would place his birth sometime prior to 10 April 1728 (date of Jerusha's father's will which calls her "deceased").
