  3.   Note: Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Batchelder, Batcheller Genealogy, p. 387-388, lists two children that are currently not included here. Pierce says Benjamin moved to Vermont "soon after the Revolutionary War, probably about 1788", but yet he had children recorded in Brookfield through 1795. So, Pierce seems somewhat confused to start with. Therefore, he was not followed in the two cases below.

Ebenezer, b. 31 Mar 1800, m. Elizabeth Kimball. No such birth is recorded. This is 5 years after the previous child, and 27 years after the first child. The mother turned 48 in 1800. Benjamin's children are having children by this date. All of which suggests that Pierce (or his source, which he never identifies) has included a child in this family that does not belong. Source:Lyford, James O. History of the Town of Canterbury, New Hampshire, 1727-1912, p. 20, says that an Ebenezer, s/o Ebenezer Batchelder and Hannah Heath, b. 6 Mar 1797, m. 19 Dec 1821 Elizabeth Kimball. This is the same marriage date given by Pierce on p. 425 for the son of Benjamin. Can't find anything to confirm one or the other, but suspect Pierce is wrong.

Cynthia Webb Batchelder, b. 31 Dec 1802, prob. d. young. See the arguments above. Same doubts.
