WEDDING BELLS
A quiet wedding was solemnized at St. Martin's Church on Tuesday night, July 1, when Gertrude Alice Pilkington and Arthur James Lewis were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. Rev. W. R. Barrett officiated. The bride, who was becomingly attired in grey, with grey hate trimmed with spray of flowers and berries, and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses with sprays of asparagus fern, was given away by Mr. J. Weaving. Miss Beryl Pilkington was bridesmaid, and wore a neat dress of grey voile, hat of pink and gold tissue. The briegroom was supported by Mr. H. McCallum. After the ceremony a large number of intimate friends and relatives were entertained in the home of the happy couple. The usual toasts were dully honoured, and songs were rendered by Messrs. H. White and P. Withers. The presents received were both numerous and costly.
