Barker & Stenning (A Record of Old Westminsters, vol. 1, p. 412) wrongly claim that Major-General Arthur Hall (1809–1879) was married to Mary Ann Rosa Chase (1824–1882). However, this is a confusion with a different Arthur Hall, who worked for the Madras Civil Service and died in 1885.
