Will of Gyles Roberts of Black Poynt, dated 25 Jan 1666, mentions two children "that live with my brother Arthur Auger". This would seem to imply he was married by then, since the brother[-in-law] relationship is due to the two men marrying sisters.

  3.   The identification of Anne's maiden name as Roberts (e.g., see NEHGR, p. 29:271, or p. 57:352) is due to the reference to brother Giles Roberts in Arthur Alger's will, and vice versa. But he was actually the brother-in-law of Anne, having married an unknown daughter of Godfrey and Alice Sheldon. This seems to be accepted by most modern literature (e.g., as cited or Source:Sheldon, E. Hortense. Sheldons Prior to 1700 or others).
