An examination of the 1800 & 1810 Census of the household of Jacob Peasley (Bridgewater NH) reveals that it was reduced by one member in 1810. Accounting for births, aging, and death (none being known), there is one less female, who would be in the female 26-44 age category. Also in the 1810 Bridgewater Census, the household of Aquila Eastman, has a male and female, both in that category. Absent probate or other records, the Census records, taken with the marriage record, provide sufficient evidence to support the claim that his wife, was the daughter of Jacob & Jane (Heath) Peaslee of Bridgewater.
