(Anthony Thacher married) (1) by about 1618 Mary -----. "Mary, wife to Anthony Thacher, cleric," was buried at St. Edmund, Salisbury, on 26 July 1634. (Totten discussed at length English records for two men named Anthony Thacher who were distinct from, and apparently unrelated to, the subject of this sketch; one of these men also had a wife Mary, which has led to some confusion in the literature [NYGBR 42:73-76].
