Probably divorced.

All the Frank C. Gambol children acknowledge how much Frank C. Gambol, Sr. hated Mr. Stupjansky. Mary Sedlak Gambol's family thought Stupjansky was "a no good gigolo that took her for a ride". They did NOT have this disdain for his children or first wife, however. The part I don't understand is that as far as I know neither of these people ever had much money so how could someone have a relationship for the money? Might it be that she had a paid-off (not mortgaged) house paid for by a life insurance payment when her husband, Andrew Gambol, died? Mr. Stupjansky owned a funeral home business, though, so, again, who had more money?

His second wife (Mary Sedlak Gambol) did not take his name or only used it briefly then went back to using Sedlak or Gambol on legal documents. Mary Sedlak is not mentioned in Andrew Stupjansky's obituary and Andrew Stupjansky was not mentioned in Mary Sedlak Gambol's obituary. - slw
