Family:Andrew Livingston and Elena Unknown (1)

According to The Scots Peerage, Vol. 5, pp. 421-23, Andrew Livingston and his wife Elena were the father and mother of Sir William Livingston, the founder of the house of Callendar. Sir Andrew Livingston was the Sheriff of Lanark. The author states that at this point the Livingston lineage is broken, but that there is little doubt that Sir Andrew, as well as Sir Archibald de Livingston, the Sheriff of Linlithgow, were both descendants of the Livingston Earls of Linlithgow (Alexander and William, sons of Thurstan who was in turn the son of Leving, the progenitor of the Livingstons in Scotland).
