  2. There is a birth of Robert 18 Apr 1729. Since this is before the son Andrew m. Mary Trask married in 1734, one would assume this is a child of this family. However, The son had his own son Robert on 18 Apr 1739, so the 1729 record is assumed to be an erroneous duplicate and that this family had no son Robert. Clearly, if there was such a child, it died young, since the father's probate called Henry bp. 1727 the youngest. And 1729 is pretty late in the older couple's child-bearing years. If perchance the son had his child exactly 10 years to the day after the father, and so decided to use the same name in honor of his deceased brother, the situation described by the records could exist. But since there is no evidence yet known that the first Robert existed, such as a death record, and it seems more likely that one of the records is a mis-recorded, mis-copied, or mis-transcribed duplicate referring to the same event, the birth of a child Robert to the son.
