  4. No birth records of any of the children have been located in town records. A family record of this couple is posted on Find A Grave. The family record documents no locations. Source:Temple, Josiah Howard. History of the Town of Northfield, Massachusetts, for 150 Years, p. 516, only says "PIPER, Amos, 1808-12" as his entire coverage of the Piper name but clearly several of the children settled there and may have been born there. One might suspect they moved to Northfield from Phillipston. Some indications are that they later moved to Ervings Grant which has no records available online (some records for this area may be found under Orange, but none for this family have been seen there). 1810 census is in Northfield (3 sons, 3 daughters), and 1820 census is in Ervings Grant (5 sons, 5 daughters). Further research may be able to pin down locations better, but for now guesses based on the above outline will be qualified as "possibly".
