[This marriage date is very questionable. Why did they wait over 7 months after their intentions were published to marry 2 months before their first child was born? Then, why isn't it found in Acton or Concord records? Third, what about the record "Amos Parling & Elizabeth Davis, m. by Thomas Whiting, J.P., Apr. 19, 1757" found in Charlestown, p. 1:400?. See the note about AaronN1 for other doubts about the quality of this source.]

  3.   Note that the Parlin GenealogyS1, p. 29, adds another child Aaron, b. Concord 5 Sep 1769, which was not added to this page. This birth is not found in Source:Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. Births, Marriages, and Deaths, 1635-1850 or neighboring towns that were checked. While Aaron fits into this family, the reasons for caution is simply that Esther had by this time, already had 10 children. Further, the Parlin Genealogy gives Amos a second marriage with children Daniel, James, and Reuben. It would seem most probable that these are Esther's children from her first marriage, showing that this source was somewhat confused about this family.
