- ↑ There is a marriage record of Amasa Turner and Rebecca Delano in 1726, but all the births in Hanover name the mother as Elizabeth starting in 1729. No marriage record with any Elizabeth is found. Source:Turner, Jacob. Genealogy of the Descendants of Humphrey Turner, with Family Records, p. 8, is not very useful: Amasa Turner and Annah Smith. 3 children: Hannah, Amasa, Eliab. Source:Van Nattan, Laurence J. History of the Town of Rindge, New Hampshire from the Date of the Rowley Canada or Massachusetts Charter to the Present Time,, p. 737, lists only wife Elizabeth. Source:Stover, Margaret Harris. Philippe De Lannoy or Philip Delano of the "Fortune" 1621 and His Descendants for Four Generations shows Amasa's first wife as Rebecca, giving her all the children born to "Elizabeth", adds two other wives and nominally three more children. This last arrangement is shown to be correct by Plymouth deed Vol. 28, p. 67 reverse where Amasa Turner of Duxbough and Rebekah my Wife sell their right to land coming from mother in law Elizabeth late wife of Doctor Benjamin [sic, Benoni] Delano, and also the distribution of the estate of Benoni Delano (Plymouth probate Vol. 7, p. 432) which gives one share to Rebekah Turner.
