The only Elizabeth Austin listed in the published Connecticut Vital Records whose age and place of birth makes her a candidate for the third wife of Amasa Hitchcock is Elizabeth, daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth Austin, baptized at Durham 8 October 1769. However there appears to be no record evidence connecting that Elizabeth to Amasa Hitchcock.
