Amasa, "per. s. of Asabel" [sic, shown to be so by death record], m. May 1767, Annaretta, d/o Moses Belding.
The History of Northfield says Amasa removed to Winchester but does not give a date. Births of children are recorded in Winchester, but baptisms are listed in Northfield through 1789, often on the same date as the birth (which seems unlikely - neighboring towns but still several miles apart), suggesting the Winchester records were copied from a family Bible? On the other hand, by 1780 Amasa was already called "of Winchester" in a deed (Cheshire deed Vol. 15, p. 424, same parcel sold in 1790 p. 15:426). So the birth locations of the children are somewhat ambiguous.
