Petitioning for divorce from Alexan-
der David Lizars, Jennett Drummond
Lizars (represented by Mr. M. J. Ger-
loff) said that at the time of the mar-
riage in 1927 she was a widow with three
children, and her husband was a widower
with four children. Constant quarrelling
arose over respondent's cruelty to the
children. He was almost always in a
temper. Late In 1931 he departed, his
farewell words being that if his wife
or children gave him any trouble he
would come back, and shoot them. He
had not returned, and had not sent her
a penny. The only attention he had
paid her was to send her a tin contain-
ing manure, a putrefying bird, and an
abusive letter.
A decree nisi, returnable in six months,
was granted.
