Elizabeth Lyle appears to have left her family home in Reach township in the late 1850s. As yet her marriage to Albert Prince has not been found. Her daughter Annie was born in Mariposa in Victoria County, a considerable distance from Reach, in 1860. Albert Prince has a separate gravestone in Hillman Cemetery where Elizabeth is remembered on her parents' gravestone.

Special consideration was given to Elizabeth in her father's will. She and Annie must have continued to live in the family home with her brother David after the deaths of their parents in the mid 1860s.

Annie's marriage to Robert James Dobson occurred when she was only 19. The Dobsons were a large family who owned a number of farms in the local area (source: contemporary censuses).
