  3. This marriage is not proven. However, (1) This Elizabeth Scott is the only one in any published Connecticut Vital Records whose date of birth is consistent with this marriage; (2) Elizabeth was a Waterbury girl, Waterbury and Wallingford being reasonably close to each other; (3) the youngest known child of the marriage was born in 1822, when Elizabeth would have been 42 years of age. Elizabeth's father died in 1828 at Waterbury; his probate, if it survives, might be useful in confirming or denying this identification.
