- ↑ Several secondary sources give the name of the wife as Mary Morey. The basis for this is unknown, and such a person has yet to be identified, as witness several notices of people wanting her ancestry. For example, Source:Trotter, Susie Eager. History of the Eager Family from the Coming of the First Immigrant, William Eager, in 1630 to Date, 1952, says p. 22, "Ref. Hudson's History, Marlborough", but that probably is citing it as the source for the Eager line, since Hudson explicitly names Aaron's wife as "Mary ---" and has no section for a family named Morey. On p. 23, it cites American Ancestry, which also names "Mary Morey", but is not exactly a paragon of reliable genealogy, and gives no sources or further identifying information. Frankly, this identification seems suspect, and needs sources. Without knowing anything, it seems more likely that her maiden name would have been Bailey since she named a son with that name.
