citing Hyde County Orphans Book, December Court 1759, DAH:
Ezekiel Weeks and Deliverance Shaw came into the County of Hyde in the Province of North Carolina and said they were man & Wife & so past, but Rebecca Satterthwaite & Ann Mixon Saith upon Oath; before us two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for Hyde County, that they saw the Said Ezekiel Weeks and the said Deliverance Shaw Married in Wedlock to Each Other by Thomas Smith, Esqr., one of his Majestys Justices for the County of Hyde & since they ware Married have had two Children by Name Ezekiel Weeks/who is now Dead/ and Sarah Weeks who is now by name Sarah Cox, Wife of Aaron Cox, and further the Deponents Saith not. Given under our hands this [obscured] Day of November 1759.
