Usage Tips

The 19th Regiment served at Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Bristow Station, Mine Run, Wilderness, Spotsylvania, River Po, North Anna, Tolopotomy, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, Jerusalem Road, Deep Bottom, Strawberry Plains, Reams Station, Boydton Road, Hatcher's Run, Crow House, High Bridge, Farmville, Appomattox. The Regiment was formed in Bath, Maine in 1862, and raised chiefly from Waldo, Somerset, Kennebec and Sagadahoc counties.

A series of reunions were held, beginning in Portland, Maine in 1873, and continuing in Bath in 1874, in Belfast (1875), in Portland (1876), in Augusta (1877) and in Richmond in 1878. The compiled notes of these reunions, including stories of the Regiment during the Civil War, was published in 1878.
