Ranworth with Panxworth is a civil parish in Norfolk, England in The Broads, adjacent to Malthouse Broad and Ranworth Broad. It was made up of two ancient parishes which merged "early". (Source: A Vision of Britain through Time) Descriptions of the two parishes follow. The two ancient parishes were both part of Walsham Hundred and located between the parishes of South Walsham and Woodbastwick. From 1894 until 1935 the joined parish was part of Blofield Rural District. In 1935 the parish was abolished and the land absorbed into the parish of Woodbastwick.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Ranworth from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1871-72:

"RANWORTH, a parish in Blofield [registration] district, Norfolk; on a lake or "broad" communicating with the river Bure, 3¾ miles N W of Acle, and 4¾ N E by N of Brundall [railway] station. Post-town: Acle, under Norwich. Acres, with Panxworth: 1,902. Real property: £4,091. Population of Ranworth alone: 282. Houses: 61. The property is divided among a few. The manor, with [Ranworth] Hall, belongs to J. Kerrison, Esq. There is a large malting establishment. The living is a vicarage, united with the vicarage of Upton, in the diocese of Norwich. Value: £308. Patron: the Bishop of Norwich. The church is good, and has a very beautiful screen. There is a Baptist chapel."

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Panxworth from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1871-72:

"PANXWORTH, a parish in Blofield [registration] district, Norfolk; 4 miles N N E of Brundall [railway] station, and 8 E N E of Norwich. Post-town: Blofield, under Norwich. Acres: 600. Population: 121. Houses: 29. The living is a rectory, annexed to the vicarage of Woodbastwick, in the diocese of Norwich. There was no church for upwards of 200 years. A ruined tower occupied the spot where the church stood; and, in 1847, this was repaired, and a neat nave added, so as to afford 120 sittings."
