Left widow and one son, Timothy Osgood Wardwell of North Andover. Member of the New England Historic Genealogical Society. He received his education at the public schools and at Phillips Academy. After engaging in the book trade for 10 years in Andover, removed to Boston where he was a partner of Grant, Warren & Company for over 40 years. In 1880, he was elected a director of the Congregational Sunday School and Publishing Society.

Became a member of Andover South Church on 01 January 1837. Discharged to church in Brooklyn, NY on 10 November 1839. Returned to Andover church 09 July 1843, then discharged to Eliot church in Roxbury on 19 October 1851.

Living in Andover at 1850 census, $5000 in real estate.

Listed in 1852 Roxbury Directory.

In Roxbury at 1860 census, with personal estate valued at $1500. Living in Newton, MA at 1870 with real estate valued at $20,000 and personal estate at $10,000. Again in Newton at 1880 Census.

Died of "multiple neuritis". Living at 36 Vernon Street at Death.
