"30 William3 Lamson (Joseph,2 William1), was born in Malden, Mass., Oct. 25, 1694, and died at Stratford, Conn., Jan. 21, 1755. … William Lamson removed to Stratford, Conn., about 1717, when he married. He became a large landholder there, and owned a saw-mill, a fulling-mill and a grist-mill. These mills were located on the Pequonock River, in the western section of the Township of Stratford, now the town of Trumbull. He was at first a member of the Congregational Church of Stratford, but at the time of the erection of the Second Episcopal Church edifice, he became a member and pew owner in that church. He is buried in the Old Burial Ground of Christ Church, Stratford. … His will is dated Sept., 1754, and was probated Feb. 11, 1755. Recorded at Fairfield, Conn."
