    WILL J. BROOKS RITES WEDNESDAY

    Will J. Brooks, 64-year-old retired cotton broker and a former Greenville resident, died at 9 a.m. Monday in a Dallas hospital.

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gid Bryan and the Rev. W.R. Corrigan officiating.

    Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.

    Mr. Brooks was born Dec. 19, 1882 in Greenville and lived in this city until moving to Dallas in 1935.

    He married the former Mattie Burnett Nov. 7, 1901 in Rockwall.

    He was the son of late Judge M. M. Brooks of Greenville.

    Survivors include his widow of 3438 Normandy in Dallas; two sons, M. M. Brooks of Dallas and John H. Brooks of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren, L. D. Brooks of Houston, W. J. Brooks of San Antonio, T. E. Brooks of Dallas and John Brooks Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M. and nine great-grandchildren.
