RAGSDALE — Willa M. Strosnider, 87, died at 5:28 a.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Born Sept. 12, 1919, in Trammel, Va., she was the daughter of Earnest and Minnie Burton.
She formerly worked as a machine operator at Gossarts and also clerked for Mackey's Mor-For-Less Store. She was a former member of Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge and a member of Asbury Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Jim Strosnider of Washington; one daughter, Jan Campbell of Ragsdale; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six sisters, Edna Burton, June Ward and Ruby Boulard, all of Bicknell, Josephine Wollever of Florida, Floretta Barnes of Hinesville, Ga., and Linda Jones of Washington.
Her husband, John Strosnider, whom she married Oct. 7, 1947, died in 1992. One sister, Ruth Ridgeway, is also deceased.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Bicknell Chapel, with Rev. Jack Haskins officiating.
Burial will be in Asbury Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
