Mrs. Vira L. Pelton, 86, died Tuesday at her home, 1115 West Eighth. She was born January 14, 1867, in Potsdam, N. Y., and had been a resident of Topeka 37 years. She was a member of the Lowman Memorial Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Harold S. and G. Dorr Pelton, both of Topeka; three grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. W. I. Kellogg, Topeka; Mrs. O. E. Furman, Wichita; Mrs. F. H. Lytle and Mrs. W. L. Johnson, both of Oberlin.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
