[Note: both Thomas Doggetts described by Savage appear to be this man. One is said to be perhaps the son of John, but this is not supported by treatment of the subject in History of the Doggett-Daggett Family, which identifies Thomas of Edgartown as the son of John. Thomas of Edgartown is not described by Savage, except that the reference to Mather's Magnalia Christi Americana (here) and the Indian witchcraft is regarding an Indian on Martha's Vineyard and the Capt. Thomas Doggett referred to is clearly Thomas of Edgartown.]
