Susannah Richards, daughter of Paul Richards born about 1782 and died before 1840 on Jesse's Run, Lewis County, (West) Virginia. [1]The marriage bond record to John Waggoner uses Richards as her maiden surname. [2]However, she was a ward of John Runyon, the Runyon as her suname on her marriage record, after her father was killed by Indians August 6 1782. Paul Richards received a land grant of 400 acres for his settlement in 1774 which adjoined Arthur Richards, his brother's 300 acres. She and her sister were granted a tract of 207 acres in Monongalia County, (West) Virginia as heirs of their father, Paul Richards. [3] [4] She married John Waggoner February 19 1799 [5]as his second wife who were the parents of twelve children.
