From the Bartlett Society


The will of Sarah Jeney of Plymouth dated 4 April 1654 mentions son Benjamin Bartlett; "the Bible which was my Daughter Susannas"; and others. A codicil of 18 Aug. 1655 reduces Benjamin Bartlett's share to one cow. She mentions "my two Daughters" who would be Abigail and Sarah, proving Susanna is dead.

    Plymouth Register says "Susanna Jenings died the 23rd of March [1654/5]". This date is subsequent to that of the will of Sarah (Cary) Jenny which implied that daughter Susanna, who had married Benjamin Bartlett, was already deceased at that time.
