Facts and Events
Sued Pacific Express Company for personal injury, Nov 1902 (apparently dismissed) President of Old Ladies' Home Association of Texas 1900-1904 Involved in a lawsuit that went to the Texas Supreme Court on 18 Jun 1886. Her father, James H Martin, added a codicil to his will that was witnessed by Susan and Nathan Kennedy. The original will apparently divided Martin's estate between Susan and her sister Susan A D Martin. The codicil divided the estate between Susan (50%) and the other 50% to be split by the sister and Susan's 2 kids. The lower court apparently decided in favor of the original will, deciding the codicil was a forgery. Susan appealed that decision and it went to the Texas Supreme Court, who found several errors and sent the case back to the lower court.
