Obituary Shirley A. (Bomboy) Wolfe, age 90, of Erie, passed away peacefully at Forestview Skilled Nursing Center on Friday, March 8, 2019. She was born in Erie on April 24, 1928, the daughter of the late H.T. Bomboy and Ruth Deutsch. Shirley was the 1st female Deputy Sheriff in Erie County and served the community for 20 years. During her life she enjoyed traveling all over the world and experiencing different cultures. She had a passion for gardening, bingo, and cards. She will be missed by many. Along with her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Levi Wilburn Wolfe, daughter, Shirley Ann Wolfe, son-in-law, Rev. David Laakso, brothers, George Bomboy and Herbert Bomboy, and sister, Ruthe Mullen. Shirley is survived by her children, Caryn Wolfe (Laura Savelli), Kathleen Smith, David Wolfe (Susan), Judith Fronzaglia (Douglas), Suzanne Arndt (James), Daniel Wolfe (Susan), Marilyn Rogish (Joseph), and Rebecca Laakso (Fiancé Dana Cleversy), thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call on Saturday, March 16th at Saint George Church 5145 Peach St. Erie, PA 16509 from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 12pm. The Kloecker Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is handling the arrangements. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Saint George Church, Great Lakes Hospice, and the Alzheimers Unit at Forestview Skilled
